Reservations-Table for 2...ahhh...I mean a court at 6pm!

Well it's getting close to Easter...it's another beautiful day with blue sky, a gentle breeze and rising temps into the upper 60's and low 70's for the next several days...sure makes working hard to deal with when the courts are screaming at me to come out and play...well better make a court time for sure...but wait...I have to get myself up to the courts in person just to see if there are any openings much less reserve one...hummmm...is there a better way? Yes...but we have been doing it this way for well ...ever...sign the paper on the clip board...come on up and take your chances....well for this months stir the pot of talk...I'd like to suggest we move into the 21st century and think about an on-line reservation system...the kind that George Jetson used 20 years ago when trying to get out of work at Spacely Sprockets and hit a few mixed double games with his wife Judy down at the Star Dust Tennis Club...remember?? Ok...here's how it will work...from anywhere in the world you log in to our new reservation website with your own personal ID...then look at the calendar for the week, day and time you'd like to book...if it's open you put your name down..BAM! It's done! You could possibly book weeks-months and years if need be into the future..WOW! Sure beats jumping into the bat mobile and driving up to the cave just to see that the time and day you were hoping to get is already taken. OK..now what if you don't like the internet..how about an alternative feature to the on-line reservation system that centers around what we all have...A Telephone...OK...here's how that works...instead of using the web from anywhere in the world to book your court time at Tega you'll just call a toll-free number operating 24-7 ...give the auto answering system your personal ID and then request the day and time for the reservation...the system will book it for you if open and if not you'll have to do a re-do and pick another time and or day...BAM! Now that surely might be viewed as E-Z...don't you think? Well...as the ol saying goes...old habits are hard to break...so..take a moment and let us know your thoughts and feelings on this proposed reservation system...good...great...bad...leave it alone ...I like it just the way it is..don't change a thing...OK...it's now your turn to speak up...what do you think...just click on comments and say your piece you tennis blogger! You don't even have to leave a name...and be sure to check back often to see what others are saying about anything to do with Tennis at Tega Cay.... Good hitting....
